Central Utah Clinic has offered oncology services to community members since the early 1980s. The clinic opened its new Cancer Center at the organizations main campus in Provo, Utah, in December 2003. The center allows cancer patients to receive chemotherapy, radiation therapy and other outpatient services from Central Utah Cancer Center oncologists in one convenient location.
Medical Oncology Medical Oncology/Hematology is the branch of medicine that deals with cancer patients and patients with blood diseases. Medical oncology is often synonymous with chemotherapy, which means chemical treatment. In the case of cancer, chemicals are used to interfere with cell growth and cause the cell to die. When chemotherapy is used to treat cancer, the purpose is to prevent the cells from growing and developing into more cancer cells. Medical Oncology/Hematology Services:

Radiation Oncology Radiation Oncology is treatment of diseases using penetrative beams of high energy waves or streams of particles called radiation. Radiation therapy equipment aims specific amounts of radiation at tumors or areas of the body where there is disease. Radiation Oncology Services:
